Resting on God
"O God, most high, most glorious, the thought of Thine infinite serenity cheers me, for I am toiling and moiling, troubled and distressed, but Thou art for ever at perfect peace. Thy designs cause thee no fear or care of unfulfilment, they stand fast as the eternal hills. Thy power knows no bond, Thy goodness no stint. Thou bringest order out of confusion, and my defeats are Thy victories; The Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
I have come to Thee as a sinner with cares and sorrows, to leave every concern entirely to Thee, every sin calling for Christ's precious blood; revive deep spirituality in my heart; let me live near to the great Shepherd, hear His voice, know its tones, follow it's calls. Keep me from deception by causing me to abide in truth, from harm by helping me to walking in the power of the Spirit. Give me intenser faith in the eternal verities, burning into me by experience the things I know; Let me never be ashamed of the truth of the gospel, that I may bear its reproach, vindicate it, see Jesus as its essence, know in it the power of the Spirit.
Lord, help me, for I am often lukewarm and chill; unbelief mars my confidence, sin makes me forget Thee. Let the weeds that grow in my soul be cut at their roots; grant me to know that I truly live only when I live to Thee, that all else is trifling. Thy presence alone can make me holy, devout, strong and happy.
Abide in me, gracious God." {Valley of Vision}

15 Years Ago Today..
Fifteen years ago today I was in an operating room in Fort Worth, TX. I had been asleep for over 24 hours at this point and in the ICU for 18 of those hours. Dr. Christopher Case was probably working my first pacemaker into my left shoulder. Getting all the wires connected, waiting to hear that 1st heart beat come through my new devise.
I was 16 years old. And now I have almost lived half my life with a pacemaker. To be honest, it makes me smile. The past 15 years brings many memories to mind. Some good, some bad, some indifferent. But all of them bring a smile to my face, because I know that God's unshakable Hand has been on my heart, on my shoulder, and on my life every single step of the way. "His heart profoundly kind, God never is before His time, and never is behind." {C.H. Spurgeon} I have a constant, tangable reminder that God is in control of all things. No matter what lies satan tries to tell me or what lies I try to tell myself, I am not in control.

Painting Project
Well, we have finally decided to commence our painting project. We are going to stick with all the final colors that we originally picked out, except for our master bedroom. We ended up going with a lighter color blue called Liberty Gray.
I am so excited about our project! I am anxious to have all new walls and rooms! :) If any of you want to come help paint, let me know!

Ready for Fall
This weekend the Mid-South Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza {HAHA..extravaganza} is being held at our Agricenter. Just thinking about early Saturday mornings, freezing my butt off in a boat with my husband and dog {well, one of them at least} make me long for fall and winter! I have the most fond memories of fall, winter and spring. I am longing for deer steak, chili, and soup. I am ready to wear long underware again and give up my tank tops! Summer is just here to make me miserable.....and to make me sweat!
So even though it is still 90 + degrees outside, I know that fall is just around the corner. And the hunting and fishing expo is just one of the many reminders. What reminds you that fall is rapidly approaching {well, maybe not rapidly but definitely approaching}?
*Today, I'm thankful for the changing of the seasons!

Yoga
I went to Yoga last night for the 1st time ever. One of my co-workers and I belong to the same gym so we decided we would try yoga together. It was certainly a new experience and just what I was looking for. We both struggled a little and lost our balance a few times, but all in all it was quite fun. And surprisingly relaxing. I know that with time I will become more and more comfortable with the movement and of course re-gain flexibility {which is what I'm looking for}. So, for my 1st review of yoga, it's positive and I am definitely going back!

Baby Boom
Amongst my friends there is quite a baby boom. I am not going to name any names {that is not my place} so no one needs to worry. :) But I just want to say that I couldn't be happier for my friends. I wouldn't be me if I wasn't honest and said that it makes me think about a baby. It is no news to anyone {I don't think} that I cannot have children of my own, but I do entertain the idea of adoption at times. Times like these. When there is a baby boom. But then again, we already have 3 grown babies to fund, take care of, and play with and I change my mind rather quickly. *Chuckle*
I don't know what the Lord has in store for Tim and I, who knows, it might be a little one of our own to raise one day. Well just have to wait and see.....
**But for today, I am thankful for God's Faithfulness, Timing, and Grace.
