Kids Weekend

We got to have the kids in Memphis for the first time since September this past weekend.  It was wonderful to have them.  We really miss having them up here.  On Sunday we went to lunch with Brad and the girls. Afterwards we headed down to the park for a little bit before it was time to hit the road again. Here are a few pictures from the park.

The Pacifier

When it's nice and unseasonably warm in the winter {Sunday in this case} Tim and I like to spend time outside with the pups.  Let me set the stage for you.  Titus immediately grabs his pacifier.  His full size leather basketball {that he has popped with his teeth} that makes him feel all safe and comfy inside. Kind of like a lovey or a pacifier for a baby.  Next, you will notice; Delta the 22 month old that hasn't quite figured out how to be graceful. At. All.  Then there's Maya, the very graceful, peaceful, and patient 6 year old.  And finally you will see the flying dog.....Silver.  She is also known around our house as the Terrorist. You might notice that she has sort of "latched" onto the goofy one, Detla.  This is one of the reasons she got the nickname, the Terrorist. Since she is not a retriever she just runs with the other real retrievers barking and growling at them the whole time {encouraging them I'm sure}.  And as you can see she sometimes, "latches" on for a ride. This is our "normal" game of throwing the ball in the backyard on a sunny day. :)

Maya, the 6 yr old wise and graceful lab.

Titus with his pacifier.

Then comes Silver.....after she is tired of running around with the big dogs, she starts a little project of her own.  See the nice little hole she started? Turns out Silver is quite the little digger!

After the sun started to go down we decided that a nice fire was in order.  All in all it was a great day and very entertaining!  Hope you all had a great relaxing weekend as well!

December

December went by in a blur of activity.  Thankfully I had my camera with me at all times to capture some of the fun moments.

Breakfast with Santa at the Country Club.

An unseasonably warm day at the park....
